Windsurfing: Ynyslas Estuary Wind Direction: NE Wind Stength: 2-4 Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: 13C Sea Temperature: 10C Weather: Sunny spells Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Nice little sesiion in the Estuary and probably the only chance of a
session in the easter hols so gave it a go.
Took out the race board and 9.0m. As it was a very big tide there was
plenty of clearance for the 58cm fin.
After a bit of slogging around I got a few good runs in lightly planning
and then a few more runs at a decent speed. At the end of these I'd sped
over into the main channel and as the tide was turning found it difficult
to get back up wind. I had the surf down the faces of the small waves
coming out of the channel to get around the point followed by a little walk
to get past the strongest section of current by the point then slowly made
it back accross the the Ynyslas side.
Met BEFS when I came back in, I'd seen him flying the kite over buy the
point whilst I was out.
Good fun though and good weather with sunny spells. Better than at home
where it was wet all day ;-)
